Coronation Street Fans 'work Out' What Happened To Lauren – And Bethany Is Involved

Coronation Street fans have been speculating what happened to Lauren since she went missing but they believe one thing is for certain – Bethany had something to do with it

Fans of Coronation Street are adamant that Bethany was involved in Lauren’s disappearance.

After her inexplicable disappearance at the start of the year, Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) has been missing for months. Police discovered forensic evidence in her apartment that was consistent with a serious assault, leading them to conclude that she had been physically mistreated.

It’s now assumed that Lauren is dead. After being detained for the murder of Lauren, Roy Cropper (David Neilson) will face charges the following week. However, fans have shifted their focus to Bethany (Lucy Fallon) because they are positive the long-running character had nothing to do with the disappearance of his former colleague.

Lauren asked Bethany if she would write up her account of being brainwashed by a far-right group and submit it to a magazine before she vanished. Fans think that despite the risks involved in publishing the tale, Bethany helped Lauren conceal in order to keep her safe.

One person posted their ideas in a Facebook group and said, “You know, that makes me think..” Bethany discussed receiving a commission to write the story. On Lauren’s virulently conservative affiliation. Perhaps Bethany assisted her in hiding, so when the story is released, the bigots won’t be able to locate her.”

Another concurred: “I believe that Lauren warned her to hide away or face unfavorable consequences when Bethany informed her that she would be handling the story. I believe Bethany is attempting to protect her even though she is aware of where she is.”

Another commented, “I think she’s rescued Lauren, I’ve not watched it tonight but I’ve thought that because of Bethany’s past, I think when she was tutoring her she found out a lot about her…”

Another conjecture went something like this: “Bethany is involved somehow, think it’s something to do with the gang she was mixed up in.” Another wrote, certain that Bethany knows more than she is letting on: “I think Bethany knows something too.”

Others, however, believe that something more darker is at work and speculate that Bethany killed Lauren. “I believe Bethany killed Lauren,” one person said.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if Bethany killed Lauren,” concurred the second. “Agreed, did you just see the look she gave? I just told my husband she killed Lauren,” remarked a second person in response.
